Kelly J. Agnes, 30, of Elkhorn, was killed after the crash and was pronunced dead at the scene.
John M. Weller, 21, 421 S. 4th St., Palmyra, was charged with felony homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle. His charge has been elevated to a repeater status because of a 2009 conviction for burglary.  |

Former Linn teen faces 60 years imprisonmentAugust 25, 2011A 17-year-old former Linn Township boy pleaded guilty Aug. 23 to a felony charge of first-degree sexual assault of a child.
When Dylan J. Henze, now of rural Whitewater, is sentenced Oct. 13 he faces up to 60 years imprisonment.
Four felony bail jumping charges and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct will be dismissed but considered during the sentencing.  |

Blagg awaiting sentencing on federal charge of distributing child pornographyAugust 25, 2011ELKHORN — A 30-year-old Walworth man, who pleaded guilty in federal court to distributing child pornography, faces three felony charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a child.
Robert W. Blagg Jr., who has a Howard Street address listed in court documents, faces two counts of first-degree sexual assault in Walworth County. In Racine County, Blagg faces a felony charge of repeated sexual assault of the same child. All three counts carry a maximum penalty of 60 years imprisonment.
On Feb. 23 FBI agents and the Walworth Police Department raided a home Blagg was living in on Howard Street in the village of Walworth.  |

Police arrest man after incident at public beachAugust 25, 2011ELKHORN — A 41-year-old illegal immigrant who Fontana Police arrested in June for publicly masturbating on the Country Club beach will spend 150 days in the Walworth County Jail.
Javier Martinez-Samosa, whose address is listed as 1412 9th St., Harvard, Ill., pleaded guilty Aug. 22 to misdemeanor counts of lewd and lascivious behavior for exposure and disorderly conduct.
Martinez-Samosa also will need to pay court costs and provide a DNA sample. Martinez-Samosa declined to speak during the sentencing hearing. |

Jennifer L. Schultz, 1439 Lilly Lane, Delavan, has been charged with felony theft from a business setting.
If convicted, she faces up to six years imprisonment and $10,000 in fines. |
|  | | |  | | (click for larger version) | August 25, 2011ELKHORN — A 33-year-old registered sex offender who blew a stop sign while driving a semi-trailer and killed an Evansville woman was sentenced Aug. 23 to five years in a state prison.
Jesse S. Grenier, of Fort Atkinson, also was sentenced to five years of extended supervision. He pleaded guilty June 22 to a felony charge of homicide by negligent operating of a vehicle.
Elizabeth Shults, 53, was killed in the crash. Shults was driving east on State Line Road when Grenier failed to yield the right of way at the intersection, according to a Walworth County Sheriff's Department press release.  |
