Lake Geneva man receives four years prison for sexual assault on child

A 23-year-old Lake Geneva man was sentenced to four years in a state prison after he was found guilty of having sex with child under the age of 16. After Jose Alejandro Gonzalez, 108 W. Laurie St., is released from a state prison, he will spend four years on extended supervision. A codefendant, Jamie A. Serna, 26, pleaded guilty Aug. 18 to a felony charge of sexual assault of a child under the age of 16. When Serna is sentenced Oct. 27, he faces up to 40 years in prison and $100,000 in fines.

Genoa City man receives four years for burglary

ELKHORN — A 30-year-old Genoa City man, who broke into a neighbor's home and stole a safe containing $8,000 in cash, was sentenced Oct. 21 to four years in a state prison. Ryan J. Kamps, 770 Main St. No. 4, pleaded guilty Aug. 29 to a felony burglary charge. When he is released from prison he will have to serve an additional five years of extended supervision. Kamps also must pay $9,384 in restitution.

Man faces charges for allegedly threatening witness

Witness bought drugs from defendant

ELKHORN — A 27-year-old Bloomfield man faces a felony charge after he allegedly threatened a woman who was expected to testify in his friend's cocaine delivery case. Randall R. Kurzinski, 1201 Highway H, has been charged with felony intimidation of a witness and bail jumping. If convicted of both counts, he faces up to 16 years imprisonment and $35,000 in fines. In a separate case, Kurzinksi is charged with possessing heroin, a felony, which carries a maximum penalty of 3-1/2 years imprisonment and $10,000 in fines.

Lake Geneva man receives probation, six months in jail for burglary

October 20, 2011
A 21-year-old Lake Geneva man was sentenced to 2-1/2 years of probation after he pleaded guilty to felony burglary. As a condition of his probation, Michael J. Stang, 1122 Wells St. No. 1, will have to spend six months in the Walworth County Jail with work release privileges. He also must complete 30 hours of community service.

Jury finds sex offender guilty of new crimes

Elkhorn — A jury found a registered sex offender, who is already serving a 44-year prison sentence, guilty Oct. 18 of a felony charge that he repeatedly sexually assaulted the same child. Theodore A. Mullis, 40, is incarcerated at the Dodge Correctional Institute. When he is sentenced Dec. 16 he faces an additional 40 years in prison and $100,000 in fines. The sexual assaults occurred in Delavan and Darien in 1996 and 1997, according to the criminal complaint.

Walworth woman faces charge for Bay burglary

Kitral allegedly stole five firearms from home

ELKHORN — The victim of a burglary said her 21-year-old Walworth friend may have broken into her home to support a heroin addiction. Alexandria Michelle Kitral, 114 Howard St., faces a felony burglary charge, which is enhanced because she allegedly armed herself with a dangerous weapon. She also faces five felony theft charges, which are enhanced because she allegedly stole firearms.
