Woman charged after allegedly stabbing girlfriend with screwdriver

ELKHORN — A 23-year-old East Troy woman faces a felony charge after allegedly stabbing her live-in girlfriend in the head with a screwdriver. Raquel Mayer, 2867 Edwards St., No. 7., has been charged with felony second-degree reckless endangerment involving a dangerous weapon. The Walworth County District Attorney's Office also filed misdemeanor charges of battery involving a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct with a domestic abuse assessment.

Baby sitter allegedly gives pot to 9-year-old

WHITEWATER — A 9-year-old girl reported to police that her baby sitter taught her how to smoke marijuana. Ashley N. Dollahite, 21, of Janesville, faces a felony charge of delivering marijuana to a minor. If convicted, she faces up to 8-1/2 years imprisonment and $10,000 in fines.

Man guilty of drunken driving homicide

April 19, 2012
ELKHORN — A 21-year-old, who killed an Elkhorn man during a drunken driving crash in August pleaded guilty April 11 to a felony charge of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle. When John M. Weller, 421 S. 4th St., Palmyra, is sentenced June 7, he faces up to 31 years imprisonment and $100,000 in fines. Kelly J. Agnes, 30, Elkhorn, was killed during the crash, which occurred Aug. 23 at the intersection of highways A and H.

Woman in crash was allegedly drunk

April 19, 2012
GENEVA TOWNSHIP — After leaving a bar, a woman with two prior drunken driving convictions allegedly hurt another driver during an April 4 crash on a dead-end road. April Alfredson, 206 South Third St., of Delavan has been charged with felony operating while intoxicated causing injury, second and subsequent offense. She also has been charged with misdemeanor drunken driving, third-offense. If convicted of both counts, Alfredson faces up to seven years imprisonment and $12,000 in fines.

Man allegedly intimidated witness

April 19, 2012
A Bloomfield man faces a felony charge of intimidation of a witness after allegedly threatening a woman who was an informant for the Walworth County Drug Unit. If convicted, Thomas M. Kelly, 1201 County Highway H, faces up to 10 years in prison and $25,000 in fines. Kelly is the second man to be charged in connection with this case.

Police arrest alleged heroin dealers

April 19, 2012
ELKHORN — Two alleged heroin dealers face multiple felony charges in Walworth County Court after their March 29 arrests. Randal L. Bass, 44, Bloomfield, faces charges of possession of a narcotic drug, three counts of delivering heroin and five counts of bail jumping. At the time of his arrest, Bass was on bond for a felony charge of theft of movable property, which was filed in October. He now is facing 10 felony charges. If convicted of all counts, he faces up to 74-1/2 years imprisonment and $145,000 in fines.
