Wrestling coach pleads not guilty to child enticement

ELKHORN — An Elkhorn wrestling coach, who allegedly offered to perform oral sex on a 17-year-old, pleaded not guilty to two felony charges, and Judge John Race denied a motion to lower his bail. Steven Springsteen-Hensel, 31, is in custody at the the Walworth County Jail and has been charged with child enticement and attempted sexual assault of a child by a person who works or volunteers with children. He has been in custody since his May 15 arrest in lieu of a $15,000 cash bond.

Whitewater man arrested at university library

A 47-year-old Whitewater man faces criminal charges after he allegedly was caught fondling himself while looking at girls at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Anderson Library. On May 9, when police arrested Thomas M. Fields, 720 E. Clay St., at the library, the officer allegedly discovered that the sweatshirt Fields was wearing had a hole in it that provided him access to his pubic area. Fields has been charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct, as a repeat offender. Because of the repeater status, if convicted, Fields faces up to two years imprisonment.
