Heroin dealer gets 10 years

ELKHORN — A heroin dealer, who was a suspect in the overdose deaths of three separate people, was sentence to 10 years in prison on Wednesday afternoon by Judge David Reddy. Malik D. Iseini, 35, Bloomfield, pleaded guilty Jan. 23 to three counts of delivering heroin, possession of a narcotic drug, and misdemeanor charges of resisting an officer and possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition to 10 years of prison, Reddy sentenced Iseini to eight years of extended supervision.

Court of Appeals rules preliminary hearing legal in O'Brien case

A Bloomfield couple accused of abusing their adopted children have failed to have the state Court of Appeals overturn several decisions made by a local judge. Kathleen M. O'Brien, 50, has been charged with four felony and seven misdemeanor charges of child abuse. Martin P. O'Brien, 50, has been charged with seven felony and five misdemeanor charges of child abuse.

Woman charged in Bloomfield stabbing

A 41-year-old Bloomfield woman is accused of stabbing her live-in boyfriend in the shoulder with a kitchen knife on June 23 after the two had been arguing. Michelle C. Meinen, N1217 W. Lake Shore Dr., faces felony charges of first-degree reckless injury and battery, both as domestic abuse incidents. The sentencing hearing for a convicted heroin dealer was postponed Monday morning after his attorney, Elliott Price, was unable to attend the hearing.Malik D. Child porn, pot land man in prison

ELKHORN — Walworth County Judge John Race sent a former Whitewater man to prison July 10 for three years after police found more than 200 grams of pot, a loaded pistol and child pornography in his apartment.David J. Patwell, 25, now of Cross Plains, pleaded guilty Oct. 19 to felony charges of possession of child pornography and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. After Patwell serves his prison sentence, he will spend three years on extended supervision.
Processing server gets probation

ELKHORN — A 40-year-old process server was sentenced June 12 to two years of probation after he lied about serving court papers to two people.Randy L. Ruegg of Kenosha pleaded guilty May 24 to two felony counts of forgery of an official certification. The probation term won’t begin until he has completed his probation term in Kenosha County on unrelated charges.

An 18-year-old Lake Como man is accused of asking a 12-year-old boy, whom he met on Facebook, for naked pictures and sending the child a link to a pornographic website. Matthew S. Rollie, N3326 Hickory Road, faces a felony charge of exposing a child to harmful material. He also faces misdemeanor charges of impersonating a peace officer and disorderly conduct.The felony charge carries a maximum penalty of 3 1/2 years imprisonment.
Former coach gets 4 years for child enticement

The prosecutor painted a former wrestling coach Steven Springsteen-Hensel as a man who groomed children so he can develop a sexual relationship with them.Springsteen-Hensel’s defense attorney argued his client was a good person and coach who used terrible judgment when he sent sexually explicit text messages to a 17-year-old boy on the cusp of his 18th birthday.Walworth County Judge John Race sentenced Springsteen-Hensel, 32, Elkhorn, to four years in prison and six years of extended supervision after he pleaded guilty to a felony charge of child enticement.

A former wrestling coach was sentenced to four years in prison Thursday afternoon after he pleaded guilty to a felony charge of child enticement.Steven Springsteen-Hensel, 32, Elkhorn, was also sentenced to six years of extended supervision.Springsteen-Hensel was arrested on May 15, 2012, after he sent a text that propositioned oral sex to a Delavan detective who was pretending to be a 17-year-old boy.
Man sentenced for armed robberies

The gunman in an armed robbery spree will be incarcerated until at least 2023 after Judge John Race sent him to prison for another four years. Terrance Cortez Walker Jr., 26, of Elgin, Ill., was connected to a robbery group that was responsible for between 20 and 30 armed robberies in Lake and McHenry County in Illinois and Walworth and Kenosha County. “I would like to apologize to all the people I psychologically and emotionally damaged,” Walker said. “I hope that someday they can potentially forgive me.”

ELKHORN — A 24-year-old Woodstock man who is accused of driving drunk and killing a passenger is free from custody after posting a $20,000 cash bond.Daniel P. Consolo has been charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle.Consolo was reportedly driving a Jeep on June 15 when it crashed into a tree. Kevin G. Green, 21, Fontana died as a result of the accident.
Man faces sexual assault charges

A 50-year-old Whitewater man faces three felony charges after he allegedly sexually assaulted two young children.Jay E. Zabel, 445 N. Jefferson St., has been charged with first-degree sexual assault, contact with a child under the age of 13; repeated sexual assault of a child and exposing himself in a public area. If convicted of all counts, Zabel faces up to 123 1/2 years imprisonment and $10,000 in fines.

BLOOMFIELD — A 41-year-old Bloomfield woman was arrested after she allegedly stabbed a 39-year-old man with a kitchen knife during a domestic abuse incident.On Sunday, June 23 at about 9:45 p.m., police responded to a home on W. Lake Shore Drive for a report of a stabbing.Both Michelle Meinen and Jonathan Giese were transported to the hospital after police responded to the home.
