A 17-year-old Delavan boy, accused of sexually assaulting a girl for the past six years, faces a mandatory life prison sentence if convicted.
Eric J. Valadez-Bernstorff has been charged with repeated sexual assault of a child. Valadez is in custody in lieu of a $5,000 cash bond.
According to the criminal complaint:
On Oct. 30 Town of Delavan Police Department Sgt. Raymond Clark observed an interview with a 12-year-old girl and a forensic interviewer. The girl said Valadez began assaulting her when she was in the second grade and that the assaults happened too many times for her to remember.
