November 19, 2012 | 05:36 PMA 17-year-old Delavan boy, accused of sexually assaulting a girl for the past six years, faces a mandatory life prison sentence if convicted.
Eric J. Valadez-Bernstorff has been charged with repeated sexual assault of a child. Valadez is in custody in lieu of a $5,000 cash bond.
According to the criminal complaint:
On Oct. 30 Town of Delavan Police Department Sgt. Raymond Clark observed an interview with a 12-year-old girl and a forensic interviewer. The girl said Valadez began assaulting her when she was in the second grade and that the assaults happened too many times for her to remember.
She said the most recent assault was in the summer of 2012.
She also said the Valadez would try to get her intoxicated before the assaults.
