ELKHORN — A man who told police he molested a 2-year-old girl because he was unable to sleep was found guilty Tuesday of first-degree sexual assault of a child.
Scott L. Anderson, 35, formerly of Whitewater, was also charged with felony possession of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
The felony charges carry a maximum penalty of 63 1/2 years imprisonment.
Anderson has been in the Walworth County Jail since his September 2011 arrest.
On Sept. 2, 2011, at about 1:59 a.m., police went to a Whitewater home after the mother called in the sexual assault. The victim's mom told police she woke up and saw Anderson touching her daughter.
Anderson told police he was sleeping on the floor with two girls. He also told police that he was "unable to sleep and that he put his hand up the side of the diaper of (the victim) and touched her."
Police also found marijuana and a marijuana pipe on Anderson.
Glad to see they got it right...the mother should also be locked up for letting this guy into her home & she should be tested for drugs...hope he burns in HELL
