Jones' mother told police she was sleeping inside of the home with her grandchild. She woke up to the smoke and fire.

Destiny Jones told police she had an argument with her child's father. She said she set the man's backpack on fire and placed it on the deck outside and walked away. Jones' mother said she noticed her carpet was on fire and clothes on the deck also were on fire.

Jones said she tried to put out the fire with cups of water.
