TOWN OF GENEVA — Police found two bodies in two separate suitcases on the side of North Como Road Thursday afternoon.

"The town of Geneva Highway Department was cutting the grass along North Como Road," a press release from the town of Geneva Police Department states. "One of the highway employees observed two suitcases in long grass in the ditch area. The suitcases were placed at the side of the road to allow the grass to be cut."

At about 3 p.m., police responded to a complaint from a citizen of two suitcases sitting along the side North Como Road, east of County Highway H.

"Officers responded to the location and after opening the suitcases discovered two bodies, one in each suitcase," the press release states.

Autopsies will be conducted today at the Waukesha County Medical Examiner's Office.

"At this time we are working with law enforcement agencies reviewing missing person's reports," according to the press release. "We hope to learn additional information following the autopsy that will assist in identifying the individuals."

The town of Geneva Police Department is being assisted by the Walworth County Sheriff's Office with this investigation. This is an ongoing investigation and updates will be released as they become available.

"The citizens of the town of Geneva can rest assured that this is an isolated incident, and the Crime did not occur where the bodies were located," the press release states.
