A 21-year-old Lake Como man, who sexually assaulted a woman while she was sleeping, was sentenced on June 2 to three years in prison.

Zacharia D. Martin, pleaded guilty to felony charge of third-degree sexual assault. After he finishes his prison sentence, Martin will spend three years on extended supervision.

Martin also must register as a sex offender for the next 15 years, undergo sex offender treatment and pay $1,298.73.

According to the criminal complaint:

On Feb. 16, the woman went to Martin's home.

The woman said she went to sleep in a bedroom, and she woke up to Martin having sex with her.

Martin denied having sex with woman. DNA from the woman was collected and sent to the state crime lab.
