A Genoa City woman is accused of taking lewd photos of a man while he was unconscious.

Genevieve S. Thornberry, 36, has been charged with capturing an image of nudity without consent.

If convicted, she faces up to 3 1/2 years imprisonment and $10,000 fines.

Thornberry was summoned to court on June 2, but failed to appear. A warrant was issued for her arrest, and she was taken into custody.

She made her first court appearance on Monday, and a cash bond was set at $1,000. She has since posted bond and is out of custody.

According to the criminal complaint:

Police searched Thornberry's apartment on Oct. 18, 2013, and took her cell phone. On the phone, police found three images of a man who was sleeping or passed out on a couch.

The man was identified as a 34 year old. Police spoke to the man, who said he met Thornberry at a laundry mat in May. He said Thornberry invited the man to hang out.

Thornberry reportedly gave the man a pill, because he was stressed. The man said he lost track of four days after he took the pill.

When shown the photos, the man said he didn't give consent to the pictures being taken.
