WALWORTH — Last Wednesday a 15-year-old boy was taken into juvenile detention after allegedly writing a message on a bathroom wall threatening violence at Big Foot High School.

Principal Mike Hinske said he couldn't discuss the specifics of the threat, other than the message detailed a specific date and time the incident would occur. Although Hinske declined to discuss the details of the message, he said it was ambiguous and wasn't directed at anyone in particular at the school.

Apparently, the student wrote the message on the wall after a bullying-type incident, Walworth Police Chief Chris Severt said.

Officials determined that the threat had no merit.
