January 13, 2012 | 02:31 PMELKHORN — The former Williams Bay junior varsity girls basketball coach, who allegedly had a sexual relationship with a student-athlete, has officially been charged and faces up to 165 years imprisonment and $600,000 in fines.
Shane S. McKinley, who now lists a Geneva Township address as his residence, faces five felony counts of possession of child pornography and one count of repeated sexual assault of a child.
The child pornography charges stem from photographs that McKinley allegedly took of the victim. McKinley also worked at the YMCA in Lake Geneva.
McKinley is free from custody after posting a $10,000 cash bond. After his release, McKinley briefly moved to Texas, but the court amended his bond requiring him to live in the state.
