Fund created for Encisos

December 10, 2013 | 11:51 AM
One car crash Nov. 30 ended three lives and changed three others forever.

Talia Enciso, a Big Foot High School senior, was driving her father, Alvino Ortiz, and two of her three sisters, Maria and Brittany, when she failed to stop at a stop sign and was hit by a truck.

Talia, Alvino and Brittany were killed in the crash. Maria remains hospitalized.

Wife and mother, Irma Ortiz, and her other daughter, Jocelyn, are facing triple funeral costs and medical bills.

To help the Ortiz family cover funeral and medical costs, family members from Texas have established a donation account at Community Bank in Sharon. Donations can be dropped off at any of the bank's branches in Delavan, Clinton and Lake Geneva. Checks should be made out to the Ortiz Memorial Fund.

The Coffee Cup Cafe, 192 Baldwin St., Sharon, is hosting a spaghetti dinner fundraiser and bake sale, Monday, Dec. 16, from 4 to 8 p.m.

Linda's Colonial Club, 10 N. Walworth St., Darien, is hosting a chicken dinner fundraiser Sunday, Dec. 29, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Big Foot High School has also created a memorial fund. Donations can be brought to the school office during business hours.
