Lyons — Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Wrestling gods in their own right, they all had to start somewhere.

The next Hulk or Rock could be performing July 23 at 5 p.m. at Bobby Rockets at Wicked Wisconsin's wrestling promotion. According to Bobby Rockets owner Bob Flores, the "festival" will include live music beginning at 3 p.m. followed by wrestling at 5 p.m. and four or five bands performing the rest of the night until bar closing time.

While many think wrestling is fake, the injuries and blood are real. What some may perceive as violence is all fun and games according to Flores.

"Wicked Wisconsin approached me six months ago," he said. "I've had them here performing music, and the turnout was huge. It will be like a festival, and it's just to have fun. It's a very well-behaved crowd. I was a little suspect at first, but I realized these are good guys and it will be something different."

Similar to Rocket Fest in 2008, the restaurant will serve food including burgers, Italian beef, brats and tacos to festival-goers. Flores already knows it will be a solid event, as Wicked Wisconsin has already pre-sold 300 tickets.

"It will give us a boost," Flores said. "Business has been rough with this economy. Wrestling is entertaining. I remember watching it as a kid, but it's funny how popular it still is."

Linn Township resident Morgan Foley, 24, will wrestle and perform under his stage name, MoFoley, at the festival. Foley chose Bobby Rockets because he had his most recent album release party there. He said people will love the unique style of entertainment Wicked Wisconsin offers.

"If this event sends any kind of message to Lyons and Burlington, it would be that anything can happen if you want it bad enough," Foley said. " In my honest opinion this area hasn't seen an event like this in a very long time if ever. It's definitely time for a fresh, new, different kind of entertainment, and for any fans of your typical pro wrestling or hip hop shows, you will be pleasantly shocked when you see how different this event really is."

Other musical acts will include the Brew City Butcherz, Stux and Darkhalf. Along with several matches, including a tilt with Burlington High School graduate Troy Walters, there will be a 30 man, over-the-top battle royal.

Tickets are $15 in the door and $10 in advance. They can be purchased at Foley's Bar and Grill, W3905 Highway 50, or Bobby Rockets, 6291 Hospital Road, Burlington, or visit myspace.com/wickedfnwrestling.
