A gracious thank you to the Richard H. Driehaus charitable lead trust and all who donated to the Richard Driehaus $30,000 matching grant. We have been able to help many fellow Americans in need.

Every dollar given has been used to alleviate the pain and suffering of our local poverty-stricken neighbors living in financial despair.

We have provided below a detailed description of where every penny of the $60,000 was spent. All 100 percent of every penny donated to The Time Is Now To Help, was used to help our local poverty stricken. Thank you for Caring and Sharing. Together we make our communities a better place to live.

RENT/SHELTER = $23,799.14

Thanks to your and Richard's generosity we have saved many families from becoming homeless. We brought rent up to date for many, from newborn babies to senior citizens. We helped hard working fellow creations that have lost their jobs. Some have been affected by a devastating illness without health insurance. Senior citizen's that must choose between a life saving prescription or paying their rent have been helped. We helped a cancer patient without any friends or family to care for her, have a safe place to live while struggling with her illness. Several people were already evicted and needed emergency housing. The Time Is Now To Help was able to step in and offer a helping hand to these many people in need.

UTILITIES = $16,939.00 total of: Gas: $5,350.00; Electricity: $9,139;

Water/Sewer: $1,600; Telephone: $850

This summer was extremely hot and many chronically ill and senior citizens, if they were lucky to have air-conditioning, needed to run it due to their health conditions. This led to electric bills that were extremely over budget for many in our communities. Several people have had their electric and gas disconnected already. Water and sewer is another area that we assisted. Imagine living without water. We reconnected and prevented disconnection of electricity, gas, water, and telephone service for many families, seniors, and handicapped individuals. Thanks to your generosity we have relieved the pain and suffering of living without utilities for many people.

FOOD = $5,569.84

Many families were living in hunger. I came upon many empty cupboards and refrigerators. Even with the wonderful W.C. Family Resource Center, and all the other care giving food pantries, there are people that still run out of food. We provided emergency food assistance to many that had not eaten a good meal in a long time. We helped children, seniors, single parents, and the handicapped fill their cupboards and refrigerators with healthy, life giving food.

W.C. FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER/FOOD PANTRY = $3,000 = 15,789 lbs. of Food

Food was purchased for the W.C. Food Pantry at a greatly reduced price from America's Second Harvest in Milwaukee. The food pantry has seen an ever increasing need for food this past year. There are many of our friends and neighbors, fellow American's going hungry at this time.

TOILETRIES = $1,534.00

We all know how expensive the most basic items of toilet paper, diapers, feminine hygiene products, shampoo, soap, first aid supplies, toothpaste, deodorant, etc. ... can be. For a family choosing between homelessness, food, utilities, or toiletries, you know which items they are going to live without first. Many families make this decision each month. Together, our compassion has allowed us to share with these poverty stricken families the items necessary for basic hygiene. If children do not have a toothbrush or toothpaste it leads to dental disease that they cannot afford to treat. You cannot arrive at a job interview unwashed and expect to gain employment. Women should not have to endure embarrassment and babies should not have to go without a clean diaper. God Bless all of you for Caring and Sharing.

There are many families without clean sheets or towels. If they do have these items they do not have the cleaning products necessary to wash them. Laundry detergent is very expensive, as well as other cleaning supplies. How can you cook an inexpensive meal at home if you do not have the pots and pans, cooking utensils, or even plates and silverware? Some people have even had to sell their belongings to pay for food or rent. For those in need we have supplied: bedding, towels, laundry detergent, mops, buckets, small appliances, vacuums, etc.

We provided shoes, clothing, etc. Children outgrow shoes faster than parents can afford to replace them. We found children with very worn shoes and shoes that were painfully too small. Together we gave them new proper fitting shoes. Proper clothes for work are a necessity. We replaced rags children were wearing, for new clothes. They can now go to school with renewed pride and precious smiles. God Bless you for helping.

Pens, pencils, paper, folders, glue, markers, crayons, calculators, backpacks, lunch boxes, The list of supplies needed for most children seems endless. If you do not have money for rent you certainly cannot buy these items either. Every child needs a chance to obtain an education. If they do not have the tools to succeed how can we expect them to put their best effort forward? We like to encourage and inspire children to do their best in all they do. Education is very important in our fight against poverty.

The Time Is Now to Help repaired many cars to enable the owners to keep their jobs and drive to work, doctors appointments, etc. We paid some overdue car payments so people would not lose their cars. We provided people with gas cards so they have the fuel necessary to drive their cars to work or job interviews. Thank you for your Caring and Sharing.

Grand Total: $60,000

As you can see every penny you donated, along with Richard Driehaus' matching funds, went to assist the poverty stricken. The funds were used to help the poverty stricken with the daily necessities of life: food, clothing, utilities (gas, electric & water), shelter, school supplies, toiletries, household necessities, and vehicles. We are a completely volunteer organization. Your donation is put to work immediately to help ease the pain of poverty, not to pay for overhead costs, solicitations, office expenses, or salaries. All 100 percent of your donations are put directly to use to ease the suffering of our neighbors in desperate need.

Many hours were, and continue to be spent fighting poverty. We investigate every request to make sure every penny we give goes to good people in genuine need. As this recession continues on another year, we find the need continues to rise for many of our fellow American's in desperate need. Together, we will continue the war against poverty here in America.

I thank all of you for your kind words, and support to The Time Is Now To Help. I alone cannot meet all the desperate requests for help. Together we make a big difference helping our fellow creations by easing their pains of poverty, fear, desperation, hunger, and helplessness. Together we give them shelter, we feed them, we provide hope and compassion, and we provide our American strength of love for one another. Please pray our politicians return to by, for, and of the people. I thank all of you for your kindness in Caring & Sharing what you have been blessed with. Please take advantage of the "S.M. Fall 2010 $10,000 Matching Grant." Every dollar you donate will be matched by another. Thank you for Caring and Sharing.

Health & Happiness, God Bless Everyone, W.C.
