Williams Bay -- The Lake Geneva Generals, the area's first semi-pro football team, will host the Sheboygan County Rebels at 5 p.m. Saturday at Williams Bay High School.

Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for kids 12 and under, and admission is free for military members with proper ID and Williams Bay High School students with ID.

Unlimited bounce house jumping will be available for a $5 wristband. Concessions, merchandise and team apparel will also be on sale.

In three preseason games, the Generals have jumped out to a 2-1 record, including two shutout victories by a combined score of 89-0.

In a 49-0 win over the Green Bay Blackjacks on June 4, Jason Wright returned two interceptions for touchdowns.

Deputy Walworth County Administrator Shane Crawford, a newcomer to football, has four sacks and an interception at linebacker. The stifling Generals defense has allowed 30 total yards combined in the last two games.

Former Williams Bay standout Daniel Kant-Hull has enjoyed significant playing time, and Badger graduate Trevor York recently joined the team and will be featured at running back Saturday according to head coach Derek Diehl.

The Rebels are three-time Wisconsin State Football League champions and a perennial playoff contender. Diehl said it will be his team's first true test.

"I'm excited," he said Friday afternoon. "With the way our defense is playing, we'll be tough to beat. And we've had to implement a new offense, but it is catching up."

The Generals open the regular season July 9 at home.
