August 11, 2011 | 01:05 PMA 33-year-old Genoa City man, who allegedly skipped out on bond five years ago, was taken into custody in July.
Mario R. Martinez-Palacios, of Genoa City, faces felony charges of bail jumping and sexual assault of a child.
If convicted, he faces up to 46 years and $110,000 imprisonment.
Martinez-Palacios is in custody in lieu of a $100,000 cash bond.
On Jan. 11, 2006, Martinez-Palacios was scheduled to appear in court on the sexual assault charge, but didn't, according to court documents.
In December 2005, a Genoa City police officer interviewed a 14-year-old girl who said Martinez-Palacios had sex with her in her bedroom.
At the time of the alleged incident, Martinez-Palacios was 27 years old.
