The owner of The Little Red Preschool contacted police to report that Schultz was embezzling money from the business.
When the preschool opened in 2007, Schultz's name was on the LLC, but her name was later removed.
However, Schultz maintained access to the preschool's debit card and was in charge of financial record keeping.
The business owner reported that Schultz made unauthorized purchases totaling about $10,300 between February 2009 and June 2011.
On Aug. 8, police spoke to Schultz who admitted to making personal purchases using the company debit card.
Schultz told police that she spoke to the business owner and thought that she would just pay back the money and that it wouldn't be reported to police.
