The issue of the Geneva Ridge Joint Venture (Hummel) Master Plan amendment for the 710 acres on the south side of the city appears to be official.

On Tuesday night (Aug. 30) the Lake Geneva City Council voted 5-3 in favor of making the amendment. That vote came eight days after the first vote, which also was 5-3. However, that vote was deemed null and void late last week because of a procedural error.

Despite another 25 minutes of public comments Tuesday night from those opposed to the plan map change, the council moved quickly through the second reading of the ordinance and then adoption.

Find out who voted in favor of the change and who was against it in Wednesday's Lake Geneva Regional News. Don't miss comments from those opposed who had some harsh words for the aldermen prior to the vote.
