September 13, 2011 | 03:54 PMA 21-year-old Lake Geneva man faces a felony burglary charge after a man allegedly found him in his home.
If convicted, Michael J. Stang, 1122 Wells St. No. 1, faces up to 12-1/2 years imprisonment.
According to the criminal complaint:
On Aug. 18, police responded to a burglary in progress. A man reported he heard a noise in the upstairs of his home and found a burglar crouching down in the corner of an upstairs room.
The man grapped his phone and ran outside to call police. The burglar fled the house, but was later located by police.
Police located Stang, who had a stainless steel watch on him. The man whose home was burglarized said the watch belonged to him.
Stang said he stole the watch while inside the home and planned on selling it to his father.
