September 20, 2011 | 05:01 PMA 54-year-old Walworth man faces a felony charge of possession of heroin with intent to deliver after police allegedly found him with 2.11 grams of the drug.
Steven D. Adams, 124 Plafield Ct., Apt. A, also has been charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
If convicted of the felony charge, he faces up to 12-1/2 years imprisonment and $25,000 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint:
On March 24, deputies from the Walworth County Drug Unit stopped a vehicle driven by Adams near Highway 14 and 67. Adams allowed police to search him for weapons. During the search, police found paraphernalia used to inject heroin. Inside of Adams' pocket, police found 14 capsules of heroin. Adams said he had some people expecting him who he would either give or sell the drug to.
