So what's your solution to the 3.6 billion dollar hole we're in? Keep raising taxes until no one but the public sector can afford to live here or do business here? Last fall, the voters spoke, and what they said was we need to get our fiscal house in order. If that means those dispatchers and drivers have to pay a small percentage (and I do mean small by comparison to the private sector) back to cover the costs of their very generous benefits package, then so be it. What you don't understand is that those folks work for us, the taxpayer, and just like your boss, we have the right to say enough's enough and start cutting back. If those people you cite don't like their wages, benefits, or their jobs, they're still free to seek employment elsewhere. With almost 10% unemployment, I'm sure we can find people to do those jobs at a greatly reduced cost.
