* If you lower taxes do you think the residents and would you give up some of the services available to make that happen?

Absolutely. As far as I'm concerned, many of these so called services are things we can do without and if others wish to have them, let there be a contract between those people and private business. Would make for a great chance to privatize some of the city's tasks as well.

Liquor Licenses - I've said it before and I'll say it again, these licenses are are a commodity and should be given to those who will benefit the community the most. If we need to change the conditions of how and why one keeps a license then so be it. Perfect example, the proposal to turn the old gameland into a place that hosted receptions and parties. Regardless of what you may think or not think of the people behind it, it would have brought more revenue into the city in one summer than many of these places with a license would in a whole year. I think anyone who lives here can name SEVERAL places that frankly have no business having a liquor license. Time to stop doing what some believe is "fair" and start doing what's right for the community and the taxpayer.
