New Parking Meters
September 30, 2011 | 03:25 PM

I have to agree with Mr. Knapcik, Fontana's implementation has been terrible - try waiting in a huge line in the pouring rain while everyone trys to figure out the pay station and if you use a credit card it takes 10X as long. Or go to the Metra station in Harvard where the machines are continually broken and getting $0 revenue. This is not Chicago however, it seems like every year it starts to resemble the city more, if I wanted to live in Chicago, I would! Most small towns still use these meters so I have to believe there is a way to repair them when need be. The real issue that LG needs to deal with is the lack of parking, not how we pay for it - lets spend the $800K to figure out how to solve the real problem.
