It's sad to see the course close.
I have many memories of caddying for my father and him trying to get me interested in golf, looking for lost balls, and walking the course with my friends.
I TRIED to learn to golf there (sailing won out, fortunately for the other golfers).
When I was on the WBHS Golf Team in 1969, I believe I set the course record--on the HIGH end (over 100 strokes on the front 9).
