Trust me, the deputy feels horrible about taking another. Could you imagine taking a young man's life? When it comes down to it though, it's either his life or the life of an unstable, and as you said "drunk," man. The cop will not get in trouble because he did nothing wrong. If anything he should get Valor for doing his job, and keeping himself, his partner, and the community safe. And when people are drunk, as you on was, they do stupid thing, but does that mean that a cop shouldn't shoot someone charging them with a knife because they've made bad choices to drink? Get out from underneath your rock and see it from a cop's perspective! 135 peace officers were killed in the US last year, it's a dangerous job that comes with a lot of responsibilty, and that's why cops in WI go through 520 hours of training to become cops and additional hours yearly. Seriously, could you imagine the wife and kids getting news that daddy's been killed by a suicidal man and he's not coming home. Blanchard is no crap cop either. While on administrative duty he saved a young boy's life. Give the cops respect because they do things and see things everyhat no one should ever have to see or do. Law enforcement is porbaly the oy job that will make people hate you for doing an outstanding job at what yo do.
