Cop versus Knife
May 21, 2012 | 09:34 PM

Rebuttal and Response - First off, John Brown's Mom Nancy Brown called for help for her son who was threatening t ohurt hinmself. Nancy Brown reportedly INFORMED the Sheriff's Dept her son was suicidal, threatenting to harm himself and that he had "a weapon". The lack of specificity herein the phrase "had a weapon" I believe that John Brown while a very likeable young man, had a known history of mental illness. Brown and his mother were inside their mobile home. Deputy enters. If half smart he stands where his escape route in unimpeded. The weapon wielded by Brown....was not a "large knife". It was a pocket knife. And that "fact" as quoted by family members at the funeral has allegedly been reported as correct. I've also known John Brown since he was 4 years old. My sons went to day care and Sunday School at Chapel on the Hill with him. A sweeter soul is rarely known. Rest in Peace John. You are loved and missed.
