Dear W.C./Sal. What a beautiful story. I live in California, but was born, and raised in Lake Geneva. I used to enjoy reading your article's, when I subscribed to the Lake Geneva Regional News. Yes I used to have the newspaper delivered to California for many years. I have also made a past donation to the "Time Is Now" when I was getting the newspaper delivered out to California, because your stories tugged on my heart strings to help people in the community where I grew up.
Now like I was saying in the beginning. What a beautiful story. Until I got to the end of the article, and saw what I thought was a cheap shot directed at "Chris Ann's Resale"! Dear sir. I don't know you personally, but I do know Crystal the owner of "Chris Ann's Resale". I know the whole family. I grew up with them. Crystal is not of wealth. She does what she does out of the goodness of her heart. Please keep in mind she has to make a living at the same time. She has to pay rent for her business, and she has to pay taxes! Her store is not a federally recognized 501(c)3 charitable organization. Her store is there to provide a cheaper alternative from the other over priced tourist town stores in Lake Geneva. This helps many people in the community who have very little, if any disposable income.
So please sir. Don't air your dirty laundry in your column. It's quite tasteless to put down another business that is there to help the less fortunate! I believe you should reconsider your relationship with "Chris Ann's Resale". Starting with an apology for the cheap shot might be a good place to start. I will pray for you sir! I will also be continuing to support Chris Ann's Resale"!
Crystal, May God give you the strength to carry on with your mission, and may he continue to bless you and "Chris Ann's Resale". Thank you, and your family for your charitable hearts. And everything you do for your community. For our community! I may live in California, but my roots are in Lake Geneva. I still consider it my community. I will be in touch with some support.
