Man guilty of delivering heroin

A 32-year-old Lake Geneva man was sentenced June 29 to five years of probation after he pleaded guilty to two counts of delivering heroin.

As a condition of probation, Michael J. Fischer, 1163 S. Wells St. Apt. 12, will spend one year in jail with work-release privileges.

In a separate case, Fischer pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of hit and run. He was ordered to pay $7,235 in restitution.

Several other charges — misdemeanor bail jumping and possession of drug paraphernalia — were dismissed but read into the record.

According to the criminal complaint:

On July 7 and July 21, 2011, while working with a confidential informant, the Walworth County Drug Unit made controlled buys of heroin from Fischer.

The first in a McDonald's parking lot in Lake Geneva and the second at is apartment on Wells Street.
