Robert C. Lynn, 29, Lake Ivanhoe, faces federal charges of armed bank robbery and use of a firearm during a violent crime. If convicted, Lynn faces up to life in prison.
Federal court documents indicate that Lynn may face additional bank robbery charges in Illinois.
"Right now the parties anticipate that Lynn will be charged in a superseding indictment with several other bank robberies from Illinois and that all of these will be resolved in Wisconsin," according to a letter from Joseph A. Bugni from the federal defender's office.
Lynn was set for a Dec. 14 hearing, but that was postponed until Feb. 7 where the hearing is scheduled for a change of plea.
Lynn has already pleaded not guilty.
According to a federal indictment, Lynn stole about $31,390 during the Aug. 24 armed robbery. Lynn has been in custody since his arrest.
According to a press release from the Walworth County Sheriff's Department, after the robbery Lynn led deputies on a high-speed chase that entered Waukesha County.
During the chase, Walworth County Sheriff's Deputy Dan Nichols was placing stop sticks in the road. Lynn drove his vehicle toward Nichols, and Nichols fired his service weapon at the driver. Lynn was shot in the arm. The shooting was reviewed and the Waukesha County District Attorney determined Nichols acted appropriately.
