Police seek suspect in Williams Bay bank robbery

WILLIAMS BAY Police are searching for a man who robbed a bank Friday morning at gun point.

An armed robber wearing a ski mask entered Walworth State Bank, 121 N. Walworth Ave., at 10:01 a.m., and displayed the firearm to a bank teller.

The robber demanded that the teller put money into a bag, according to a press release from the Williams Bay Police Department.

The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white man, who is between 6 feet and 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 240 pounds. He was also described as being in his early 20s.

He was wearing a brown or tan Carhartt jacket or coat, blue jeans, black gloves and a black ski mask.

The Williams Bay Police Department is being assisted by the Wisconsin State Patrol, the Walworth County Sheriff's Department and police departments in the towns of Delavan and Geneva and the village of Fontana.
