Dorothy I. Rauch, 95, Lake Geneva, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at the Williams Bay Care Center, Williams Bay. No services scheduled at this time. Inurnment at Cedar Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Allentown, Pa. Steinke Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Lake Geneva, assisted the family with arrangements.

1901: Anna Edson Taylor, 43, is the first woman to go safely over Niagara Falls in a barrel. She made the attempt for the cash award offered, which she put toward the loan on her Texas ranch.
