Ralph Alston Jr.

Age: 88
Ralph Alston Jr., 88, Highland Park, Ill., formerly of Williams Bay, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at the Highland Park Hospital.

He was born Sept. 29, 1924, in Chicago to parents Ralph and Irma Heilsher Alston. Ralph proudly served his country as a pilot in the United States Navy during World War II. He married Shirley Pederson. For years, Ralph was an attorney for the First National Bank Trust Department. He is survived by his children, Nancy (Jeff) Fox, Highland Park, and Dick Alston, West Hollywood, Calif.; a brother, Robert Alston, Tinley Park, Ill.; a sister, Bunny Cook, St. Petersburg, Fla.; grandchildren, Nikki (Brett) Singer, Chicago, Charles Alston, Manhattan, N.Y., Peter (Maggie) Alston, Chicago, and Katie Alston, Columbus, Ohio; and great-grandchildren, Max and Nate Singer.

Services held at a later date. Toynton Funeral Home of Walworth, assisted the family with arrangements.
