Delavan man sentenced for drunken driving

ELKHORN — A 22-year-old Delavan man was sentenced April 19 to 18 months in a state prison after he hurt three people in a drunken driving crash in the city of Delavan. David Gerald Scott Michalosky, 2317 Prairie View Drive., also was sentenced to two years of extended supervision. For the next two years, his driver's license will be revoked. An ignition interlock device also must be installed in his vehicle.

Fontana man faces fifth felony drunken driving

April 26, 2012
ELKHORN — In the past three months, the Fontana Police Department arrested a 41-year-old man three times, twice for drunken driving. Police first arrested Stephan W. Zaring, 126 W. Main St., on Feb. 27 at the village's elementary school after a staff member called stating he appeared intoxicated. Zaring was arrested again March 25 for allegedly violating his bond condition of having no alcohol. Then on, April 19, Zaring was arrested for allegedly driving drunk.

Heroin dealer gets 12 years

ELKHORN — A heroin dealer, who in the past two years allegedly distributed more than a kilo of the drug, was sentenced April 26 to 12 years in a state prison. Alan D. Messier, 27, N. Main St., Walworth, also was sentenced to six years of extended supervision. He pleaded guilty to two felony counts of delivering heroin and a felony charged of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, ecstasy. During the sentencing hearing, Walworth County Sheriff's Deputy Ira Martin, who is with the drug unit, displayed a board with known customers and dealers involved with Messier.
