Fiorillo, 539 Forest Glen Drive, faces a felony charge of resisting an officer causing a soft tissue injury to the officer. DA to ask for lengthy prison sentence

A 29-year-old man has admitted to molesting at least one child, and he is facing a lengthy prison sentence. Edil Manuel Ayala Nataren, of Whitewater, pleaded guilty March 8 to first-degree child sexual assault. In exchange for pleading guilty, the Walworth County District Attorney's Office has agreed to dismiss and read in two counts of repeated sexual assault of the same child. ...subscribers>>

Pell Lake man sentenced for fleeing

A 27-year-old Walworth woman faces a felony bail jumping charge after she missed a court date on April 26, 2012. Jennifer E. Dog killer avoids prison sentence

A Whitewater man, who shot a dog and stuffed it into a freezer, avoided prison when he was sentenced March 28. Jeffery A. Borre, 39, pleaded guilty to a felony charge of mistreatment of animals, causing death. A felony charge of bail jumping and a misdemeanor charge of intentionally killing a dog was dismissed but read into the record. On March 28, Borre was sentenced to one year in prison followed by one year of extended supervision. However, that sentence was stayed, which means he won't serve it unless he violates the conditions of his two-year probation. ...subscribers>>

Man gets prison for false imprisonment

ELKHORN — A 52-year-old Delavan man, who threatened to "start killing children," was sentenced to three years in prison by Judge John Race. Gerry L. Rogers, W7955 Creek Road, 209, also was sentenced March 25 to three years of extended supervision. Rogers, a registered sex offender, was arrested after he called his mother "the devil" and said he was going to go to a school and "start killing children," according to the criminal complaint. ...subscribers>>

ELKHORN — A U.S. Air Force veteran was arrested in Bloomfield for drunken driving in August, and prosecutors say he has 11 prior convictions in three different states. Fred J. Schneider, 70, of Zion, Ill., faces a felony charge of 12th-offense drunken driving. If convicted, he faces up to 7 1/2 years imprisonment and five years of extended supervision. He pleaded not guilty to the charge Sept. 12, and was set for a jury trial in February.
Man faces five counts of armed robbery

An Elgin, Ill., man faces five armed robbery charges for a series of holdups that occurred throughout Walworth County in the summer of 2009.Terrance Cortez Walker Jr., allegedly held up the Comfort Suites in Lake Geneva, Domino’s Pizza in Delavan, the Williams Bay Citgo, the Mobil Gas Station in Elkhorn and the Lyons Shell Station. Each charge carries a maximum penalty of 40 years imprisonment and $100,000 in fines.

ELKHORN — A former Williams Bay JV basketball coach, who had a sexual relationship with a student-athlete, pleaded guilty Wednesday afternoon to a felony charge of repeated sexual assault of a child.When Shane S. McKinley, 28, now of Georgetown, Texas, is sentenced May 9, he faces up to 40 years imprisonment and $100,000 in fines. His sentence can include up to 25 years of initial confinement and 15 years of extended supervision.The accusation that McKinley was having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl first came to light in December 2011. Another student became aware of the relationship and informed her father of it. That girl’s father immediately spoke to the victim’s dad.

A 48-year-old Whitewater man who was arrested last year for fondling himself in the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Anderson Library will spend the next three years on probation.As a condition of his probation, Thomas M. Fields, 720 E. Clay St., must serve five months in the jail with work-release privileges and complete 30 hours of community service. He also was fined $100. On May 9, Anderson was arrested while wearing a sweatshirt that had a hole in that provided him access to his pubic area.
Lyons man allegedly had child porn

During an undercover operation, FBI agents allegedly collected child pornography from a Lyons man on an online file-sharing network. Tony J. Zeisse, 33, 1419 Creek Side Drive, has been charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography. Each charge carries a maximum penalty of 25 years imprisonment and $100,000 in fines. Each charge also carries a minimal term of confinement of three years.
Walworth woman pleads guilty to theft

ELKHORN — A 47-year-old Walworth woman pleaded guilty to a felony charge Feb. 18 after she stole money from her father’s IRA account.Kimberly L. Doran, W4720 Stateline Road, pleaded guilty to a felony charge of theft from a business setting in an amount between $5,000 and $10,000. Three other charges of theft will be dismissed but considered during her April 22 sentencing hearing. Doran faces up to six years imprisonment.

Three more people face felony charges after a violent Delavan home invasion during which a man was beaten and stabbed. The Walworth County District Attorney’s Office recently filed three felony charges against Daylan Love, Stephanie N. Vierck and Miranda K. Decker, all 25 and of Delavan. Love, Vierck and Decker face charges of false imprisonment, strangulation and suffocation and first-degree recklessly endangering safety, as a party to a crime with the use of a dangerous weapon.
Walworth man gets prison for child porn

A 33-year-old Walworth man was sentenced Feb. 22 to three years in a state prison after he pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography. Alex N. Pepper, 115 Weber St., also was sentenced to three years of extended supervision. He is also required to register as a sex offender and must pay a $500 fine.Pepper was arrested after a state law enforcement agency raided his home Aug. 18, 2011, and found the contraband. However, Pepper wasn’t located for about three weeks after the raid.
