September 08, 2011

WALWORTH COUNTY — Two men were killed in separate accidents on Wednesday and Thursday on Walworth County roads.

Randall D. Duhr, 53, of Janesville, died after crashing his 1995 Ford Explorer on Highway J in the town of Troy.

Francisco D. Tinoco-Gonzalez, 22, of Milton, died in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 14 near the Walworth and Rock county line.

In the crash that claimed Duhr’s life, the Walworth County Sheriff’s Department responded to crash and found a man, who was later identified as Duhr, unresponsive on the road.

The initial investigation at the scene, indicated that Duhr was driving west on County J when he lost control of the vehicle and left the road. The vehicle struck telephone pole guide wires before striking a tree and finally entering a ditch.

Duhr, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from his vehicle. He was taken by ambulance to the Town of Troy Fire Department and then flown by Flight for Life to a Milwaukee-area hospital. The following afternoon, law enforcement was notified that Duhr had died.

Tinoco-Gonzalez was driving a 1991 Ford Fiesta west on Highway 14 when a F-350 Pickup Truck turned east. The Fiesta collided with the driver’s side door of the truck. Both vehicles sustained severe damage.

Kelly K. Reed, 50, also of Milton, was driving the F-350 pickup truck. She had no apparent injuries and signed off after examination by the paramedics.

The Walworth County Coroner pronounced Tinoco-Gonzalez dead at the scene. An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.

The Walworth County Crash Investigation Unit also responded to the scene. Darien Fire and Rescue Units, along with the Rock County Sheriff's Office, assisted Walworth County Sheriff with this crash.

The two-vehicle crash remains under investigation. The District Attorney will review this case upon completion.
