Former wrestling coach gets four years

July 11, 2013

A former wrestling coach was sentenced to four years in prison Thursday afternoon after he pleaded guilty to a felony charge of child enticement.

Steven Springsteen-Hensel, 32, Elkhorn, was also sentenced to six years of extended supervision.

Springsteen-Hensel was arrested on May 15, 2012, after he sent a text that propositioned oral sex to a Delavan detective who was pretending to be a 17-year-old boy.

Springsteen-Hensel proposed to meet the boy at Phoenix Middle School, and he then planned on going on a bike ride with him on the White River Trail.

Once on the trail, Springsteen-Hensel planned on performing oral sex on the boy, according to court reports.
