TOWN OF DARIEN — A 59-year-old Beloit man died Sunday morning as a result of the injuries he suffered during a head-on crash on June 9 on U.S. Highway 14.

After the crash, Printess M. Pritchard, was transported to a Madison-area hospital, which is where he died from his injuries, according to a press release from the Walworth County Sheriff’s Department.

At about 12:11 p.m. on June 9, the Walworth County Sheriff’s Department responded to the accident, which occurred south of County Highway C, town of Darien.

The investigation revealed that the driver of a Chevy Aveo crossed the center line and struck Pritchard’s vehicle. The driver of the Aveo has been identified as 63-year-old Robert J. Lehr of Wonder Lake, Ill.

Lehr sustained injuries as a result of the crash, but those injuries didn’t appear life-threatening, according to the press release. Both men were wearing seat belts.

“This crash is an open, ongoing investigation at this time,” the press release states.
