Partially agree with John's Points
March 08, 2011 | 04:56 PM

While I would completely agree with John's position on the need for dialog, if a single Democratic senator had remained in Madison, this bill would have been passed in a day or so. Look at the legislation to require 2/3rds vote on tax increases. The senators are doing the same kind of legal roadblocking that the GOP senators in Washington were doing with the threat of a filibuster forcing the need for 60 votes to pass the Health Care and Wall Street Reform bills. Dialog is needed before bills are passed that we cannot recover from.

We are fortunate to have a paper that lets people express their views. The press is the only thing that is keeping the Koch brothers from running the whole show.
