It's too bad "Joey the cat" couldn't be bothered to collect some simple facts. A slip does NOT come with a shore station; each renter is required to purchase and use an approved shore station; for example, I purchased my shore station from the previous renter of my slip. All $2700 buys you in the shore station department is spring installation and fall removal. The Abbey has significantly more amenities than the village offers. Heck, the village police department won't even respond to vandalism calls on the piers ... they refer you to the lake police. Given that the slips were originally paid for by the renters, the village has little justification for a 31% increase given that each slip is already almost pure profit to the village. If they wish to further pad village coffers, they should do so in the fair way, spread equally amongs village taxpayers (of which I am also a member).
