Badger School District is a fine one, but it is also a relatively small one and, IMO, as a former teacher (not in Wisconsin) and a taxpayer (in Wisconsin), was over budgeted anyway. Comparing Badger to much larger districts with much more complex problems and needs is a bit naive. Walker took a state whose education system was widely praised nationwide and somehow managed to make that education system look a whole lot less promising. Because of his actions, jobs were lost. There's nothing noble or praiseworthy in that.
