Lots of Haters

I have never met Rep. August, but it seems like several of the attacks on him are of a personal nature. If you can't separate your personal dislike for the man from his political views, that would be YOUR problem, not his.
As for Obama(s)care, I guess we'll find out if this is constitutional or not when the Supreme Court rules this summer. One (of the many) problems I have is the whole mandatory coverage. Unlike taxes or an ID, this is a mandatory fee/purchase/charge based simply on being alive. If government can mandate what you have to buy and when you have to buy it, what's next? That question should scare anyone who is capable of thinking.
This whole healthcare "crisis" is so overblown, it's pathetic. As P.T. Barnum once said "There's a sucker born every minute" and right now those "suckers" are the productive members of society. I personally know SEVERAL people who claim they "just can't afford" healthcare, just as I'm sure most do. Now ask yourself this, how many of those who "can't afford" healthcare, manage to afford beer, cigarettes, cable TV, the best data plan for their smart phone, X-Box, etc, etc, etc.
But hey, why should they pay for their own healthcare when they can get the rest of us suckers to do it for them?????
