If there's that much support from other businesses and residents, why not hit them up for donations? There should be no need for TAX DOLLARS to go toward this if the idea is as popular as these people claim it to be.
Plain and simple, this is a boondoggle just waiting for some sucker to "invest" in it. Let's just hope those suckers aren't the taxpayers of Lake Geneva. Patrick Quinn promised that after $800k this project wouldn't cost the city one more red cent. Two thoughts....
1) That's almost a MILLION DOLLARS. Kinda like a beggar telling you that if you give him a $50, he won't bother you for a quarter later.
2) If anyone ACTUALLY believes this "project" will only cost the city $800k, I have a bridge I'd love to sell you.
