They really should sell the old (current) elementary school and land to help pay for the construction of the new one.

Ideally, the city should purchase it and turn the whole plot into a park. Or the current open space should remain a park and the school building section is razed and houses are built on it.

The town/school are too broke to pay for upkeep on a 100-year old building. I'd love to see the old school used as a rec center, but I know that will never be economically feasible.
