Six Friday nights of good food and fellowship to benefit area organizations will again be offered during Lent, beginning Friday, Feb. 16, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 137 Dewey St., Fontana.
Baked and fried cod, French fries, hush puppies, potato pancakes, applesauce, coleslaw, green beans, a variety of breads and rolls, as well as a choice of a delicious dessert provided by parishioners and friends, will be offered on Feb. 16 and 23, and March 2, 9, 16 and 23, from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 5 through 11 and free for children 4 and under.
This year's partners include the Boy Scouts, Fontana Fire and Rescue, Open Arms Free Clinic, St. Vincent de Paul Society, St. Francis de Sales School and St. Benedict's Human Concerns Commission and Faith Formation/Youth Ministry. Each week a 50/50 raffle will benefit youth mission trips and a donation basket for the group of the week will be provided.
