Gerald H. Block

Gerald H. Block, 82, Lake Geneva, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Arbor Village of Geneva, Lake Geneva.

He was born Aug. 9, 1930, in Milwaukee, the son of Edwin H. and Margaret Zigenhagen Block. He married Beatrice Joy Bloedel Aug. 11, 1951, at St. Paulís Evangelical Lutheran Church in West Allis.

Gerald was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lake Geneva; the Silver Eagles RC Flying Club in Springfield; and was in the Air Force National Guard.

Surviving is his wife, Beatrice; daughter, Sandra (Steven) Clark, Burlington; son, Stephen (Cynthia) Block, Darien; four grandchildren, Jeremiah and Sarah Fintrop, Gregory Clark, and Ashley Glald; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Robert and Kenneth Block.

Services at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lake Geneva, with the Rev. Mark Kaesmeyer officiating. Burial at Oak Hill Cemetery.
