Big Foot’s girls basketball team took on Jefferson in a road matchup Jan. 24, and the two teams were so evenly matched that it took an additional four minutes to pick a winner. It was the Eagles who came out on top, winning 41-33 in overtime.

In the first half, the Chiefs were able to build up a slight lead, going into halftime up 19-15.

However, in the second half, Jefferson outscored Big Foot 18-14 to tie the game and send it to overtime.

The Eagles prevailed in the extra period, keeping the Chiefs off the board while scoring eight points to bring the final margin to 41-33.

Leading the way offensively for Big Foot was junior Reagan Courier, who scored 15 points. Senior Sophia Foster also hit double digits with 10 points in the game.

The loss is the fifth in the past six games for the Chiefs, but the eight-point loss was the smallest margin among those games.
