ELKHORN — Walworth County Volunteer Services and Lakeland Health Care Center would like to invite high school students to participate in the “Next Generation” program at Lakeland Health Care Center (LHCC).
Next Generation will bridge the intergenerational gap between teenagers and seniors and will meet every Tuesday April 2 to May 28 (with exception of April 23) from 4 to 5 p.m.
A commitment to attend all sessions is encouraged, however, they will accept new participants even after start date of April 2.
Next Generation is a new program that allows a small group (5-10) of high school students to enter into a service program at LHCC.
The participants will meet for one hour per week at LHCC, and have the ability to meet with guest speakers about various health care career, as well as spend time with residents in a fun, structured activity.
Next Generation will provide the participants with community service hours as well as provide the participants exposure to a variety of careers.
