Susan Schwinn Strzelecki, 58, of Fontana, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 25, 2019.

Born in Chicago, on May 14, 1960, she was the daughter of Edward R. and Mary (nee Coad) Schwinn. She spent her early life in Winnetka, Illinois where she attended North Shore County Day School. She also attended University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point, majoring in Art. She spent her summers enjoying Geneva Lake.

In September 1992 in Delavan, Wisconsin, she married Nicholas C. Strzelecki. Following marriage, they made their home in the Geneva Lake area before building their home and moving to Fontana. Susan was a self-employed artist. Her creativity was expressed in oil paints, water colors, charcoal drawing and many other mediums. She collected fine quilts, enjoyed annual and perennial flowers, and loved to garden. She was a wildlife enthusiast, pet lover and had a special fondness for English bulldogs.

Susan is survived by her husband, Nick; siblings, Edward (Leslie) Schwinn Jr., Lisa Schwinn, Richard (Deborah) Schwinn and Mary (Peter) Davis; eleven (11) nieces and nephews, ten (10) great-nieces and great-nephews; and her beloved dog, Paige. She is preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lakeland Animal Shelter or Smile Train Children’s Charity.
